For 80 years Bosworth has been manufacturing ISO quality pulleys and idlers. The company also offers general fabrication, heat treatment, as well as plate rolling, in addition to supplying wear linings.
Bosworth was established in 1943 as a general fabricator. In the ensuing decades the company naturally evolved into a leading manufacturer and supplier of bulk materials handling equipment with an emphasis on conveyor pulleys. Since 1943
Bosworth was established in 1943 and became the first Company in South Africa to produce fabricated pulleys. Bosworth was instrumental in developing conveyor pulleys to the currently popular designs used worldwide. We are continuously striving to improve on current designs as well as developing new designs and standards.
Over the years, Bosworth has manufactured conveyor pulleys to be exported throughout Africa and the rest of the world.

Pulleys
Bosworth manufactures all pulley types according to SANS 1669 or to customer specifications. Hubs, shafts and shells are all manufactured and assembled in house, as is heat treatment and rubber lagging if required.
Idlers
Bosworth manufactures conveyer idlers and accessories to standard industry dimensions. Bearings are of the highest quality and are sealed for life, using a 3-piece triple labyrinth arrangement that is further portected by an LDPE dust flinger. All of this assures maximum roller lifespan.
Plate Rolling
Wear Linings
Offering a comprehensive premium range of corrosion and wear solutions, the company is able to apply rubber, ceramic as well as epoxy linings, giving customers complete corrosion and wear solutions, where required. We assist with application training and setting up lining facilities at customers’ premises.
Fabrication & Heat Treatment
Specialising in manufacturing industrial mixer-impellers, Bosworth also offers small to medium size fabrication.
The company’s heat treatment covers normalising, annealing, stress relief, hardening, as well as tempering.
